Encouraged by the outrage at the chopping off the camel’s leg in Sanghar, a somewhat similar incident emerged involving a donkey whose ears were cut off over a land dispute in Rawalpindi. The incident had occurred on June 4, 2024, but was brought to attention by the donkey owner now. He accused one Arshad Mehmood of being responsible for mutilating the donkey.

The owner, Tanveer, has been persistent in seeking justice for the donkey, but expressed frustration as he continues to visit the police station for the case to be formally registered. The police says it is investigating the matter. It mentions that there are also ongoing disputes over land between Tanveer and Arshad Mehmood but fails to realize that donkey’s ears have nothing to do with the dispute.
