Local residents shot dead a leopard in Sarbanda village of Matta tehsil in Jan 2020.

The residents opened fire on the leopard when they saw him in their village in Jan 2020, leaving it dead at the spot.

DFO wildlife Swat Abdul Ghafoor said he along with his team reached the spot and recovered the body of the leopard. “We have filed FIR in Matta police station against the villagers and sent the body of the wild cat for postmortem,” he said.
