Nadia Afgan: I Hope Something Worse Happens to Those Torturing Animals

Visibly enraged by a recent video showing stray dogs being subjected to unimaginable torture such as being shot, poisoned, strangled, and run over, actor Nadia Afgan took to filming a clip on Instagram to animal brutality.
Referring to the video that had been sent to her by an animal rescue organisation, the Suno Chanda matriarch began with the words, “I need to talk about something important. I don’t even know where to begin. I haven’t been able to sleep for two nights.”
Nadia went on to describe the shocking contents of the video, which depicted a mob rounding up stray dogs and torturing them to death in graphic detail. “One man in the video shouted that he would do the same to any person showing any kindness to stray dogs,” added a disgusted Nadia. “If any of you know who this man is, please tell me! I can’t believe these people are enticing others to follow in their footsteps.”
Questioning the ethics of those involved, Nadia rued their lack of moral compass and absence of fear of any consequences. “You wonder why bad things happen to you when you can’t even be kind to a creature who has never done you any harm! I am not one to give baddua, but I pray that something even worse happens to you than what you have done to these dogs. You will all face a trial for this one way or the other. You should be ashamed of yourselves.”
Appealing to the government, police force and animal rights activists in the country to crack down on anyone showing cruelty to stray animals, Nadia urged her followers to educate themselves and their children so that such horrific acts didn’t seep into the next generation.
“If you feel there are too many stray dogs in your neighborhood, you can contact any animal shelter near you so they can be neutered,” she instructed. “But this culling of dogs needs to stop! Please be kind to all animals. Show them just a little bit of love, and you will see how those animals will reward you. Remember, no animal will ever harm you unless it fears for its life. Teach your kids to not throw stones at any animal.”
Topping up her video with an equally condemning caption, a heartbroken Nadia lamented how far off the moral path Pakistani society has strayed. “We as a nation have no respect for anyone or any living being,” she penned. “This needs to stop. We have to make this country and this world a better place. Stop dog culling. The government needs to step in and put an end to the ruthless killing of dogs everywhere.”
To ensure her message spreads far and wide, Nadia continued, “Please share this post. Please make an effort to stop this brutality. Please educate your children Please educate people around you. Please be kind to animals. I beg you all to help us stop this.”
